Welcome

The Divine MotherNamaste from Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir:.

(ALL LIFE IS YOGA) - Sri Aurobindo

Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir established on 24th April 1993 is a non-profit organization that wishes to promote and materialize the ideology of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother in order to uplift life, to change it’s state into conditions of Divine perfection,Knowledge and Bliss in this Himalayan country.

The Ashram is a shelter for all those who want to march towards a future of Knowledge, Peace and Unity. A place of universal township where men and women can live in peace and progressive harmony above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities to realize human Unity. It is an attempt towards world peace, friendship, fraternity and unity.

Now, Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir is an ideal home for more than 150 destitute children and 50 adults who get their basic needs fulfilled, learn life skills and learn the way to live harmonious, peaceful and efficient life on the path of spirituality.

Sri Aurobindo Yoga mandir is situated at the foothills of the Kathmandu valley. It is situated somewhat 7kms of the main part of the city. Lying on the lap of the Chandragiri hill (3000m) it seems a place where Gods would be tempted stay.

Integral-Living: It is one of the pecularities of Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir. There are many departments and faculties in the Ashram where different types of activities are carried out. These diverse experiences make the life of Ashram really colourful.

We run a guesthouse too for those who would prefer  to stay away from the city environment and the pollutions in a calm and quiet ashram premises in the typically village life environment. Blissful are evenings with spiritual chants, Meditations and Nepalese folk dances and songs with ashramites.

Sri Aurobindo Nagari: Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir has recently started it’s next branch in Kolhuwa, Navalparasi. It lies in the Terai plains some 200kms from the Kathmandu center. We have named it as The town of Sri Aurobindo and indeed it is.

Those who want to volunteer at the Kolhuwa centre  they are welcome.  Planning the field designing the gardening and planting trees in the barren land construction and other basic works are our immediate needs. It is a real center for the aspirants of Yoga with peaceful environment with a lot of opportunities of Karmayoga.

The Ashram is not a place of spirituality only and materialism only. It is a unique fusion of materialism and spirituality and ultimately evolving as Divine materialism.

And The Worldly Life Changes to The Life Divine.
